I'm thankful because i dont have school today or tomorrow

I don't want to sound arrogant and naive but what is the origins of thanks giving? But I am thankful for the Community for accepting me even though... I urgh... I... Rank hacked...

The pilgrims came to the Americas to pursue freedom of religion and escape the lack thereof back in Europe. Living here was difficult and many colonists died, until some native Americans taught them how to actually survive. They ended up have a giant feast together in celebration and appreciation that later was known as thanksgiving.
