You may think this can work simply, but you forget that in order to put together a new set of endround/endmap songs we have to first splice the songs for the right times and then upload the new sounds IWD to the server and redirect. Then we have to restart the server and everyone has to download a new 12-20MB IWD. Now sure with my better than average internet this doesn't affect me and requires at the most 2-3 hours of work, but it sure does affect players on the server. Not everyone has the best download speeds and if we were to force new songs each week it'd be hell for those with poor downloads. Also, that's still quite a lot of work on our end. Not only would we have to do the above, we'd have to set up and moderate a topic for changing them. Wouldn't you rather us focus on the mod at hand rather than spend our time changing the songs weekly? The music will change, but not weekly. You best think more in terms of bi-monthly/monthly, as this way clients don't have to download as much and we may have time to focus on other things in between. You are welcome to suggest music, but ultimately we will pick songs based off of replayability, longevity, and of course personal preference. TL;DR In theory this sounds cool, but in practice it'll just cause loss of work time and more people having to download more stuff.

While free is looked down upon it is ultimately up to the activator whether they want to utilize the traps given to them or not. but if you don't activate traps whats the fucking point in playing deathrun? Go play a minigame mod if all you wanna do is 1v1 knife/snipe. lol that video has 1K views now

  7. The playsound function works fine in this case but I assume you want a function like ambientplay. The function you are looking for is called musicplay. It plays on top of ambient music just like ambientplay does without stopping the other ambient sound.   8. Nice to have you here! Remember if you notice any fowl-play in the servers you can report it via our ticket system. @Grezwal has posted how to do so along with tips on how to properly spot and report a hacker here. Have a nice stay :)
  9. the textures don't seem to work well here :S It's obvious where they repeat and just looks kinda icky. I'd play around with the different things you can do to fix that or at least cover it up. Not sure if the screens are up-to-date of course just giving some feedback from them.

  11. I would also add && isAlive( player ) in those if statements regarding the teams. Oh and also define an else to default to for the instance the player is not on axis/allies or is alive.

  13. So after having talked a lot about Combined Ops in the last week, I decided to take some time today to dedicate to the Combined Ops server. In this update I have added new maps all with bot waypoints as well as fixed the maps like terminal where the bot waypoints failed. Here is the new map rotation: gametype war map mp_compact map mp_ctan map mp_castle_v1 map mp_highrise map mp_remontna map mp_seatown map mp_mw2_term map mp_dahar map mp_fav map mp_aerodrome map mp_nuketown map mp_sbase map mp_struggle map mp_rundown map mp_matroska map mp_skidrow map mp_dust2_classic map mp_inv map mp_summit What is planned for Combined Ops: Dynamic Bots that only fill player spots when they are not there. A map vote similar to the one being developed for the FUN server. Possibly try different gametypes other than TDM More stuff that crosses over from the FUN server. ???????????????????

      I started around (3PM)11PM your time and ended about 2AM(6PM) your time.

      I plan on streaming earlier sometimes from (11AM)7PM your time to (2PM)10PM your time some days. It's just hard to be mentally awake at those times xD Plus the 3-6 time frame won the strawpoll

  21. Sorry I haven't written on this topic yet, if you'd like to know what I've been up to you're welcome to message me on steam I really just haven't had the time to properly reply to this. It was great having you on board as an admin. I almost feel like I've watched you grow up in a way. When I first met you, on Rv, you were hardly admin worthy. You were annoying, disruptive, and very immature. Yet as time passed I've watched you learn from your mistakes and become a better person as well as a better online personality. You're no longer that annoying, disruptive, kid I met over a year ago. In the grand scheme of things, you've done a great job and I thank you for that. You've found a home here and you're always welcome back. -Darmuh
  22. You keep mentioning these people which all agree with you yet we have to take your word for it? Please. Your opinion is your opinion, we respect that but we will not cater to your opinion because you feel it's superior. If you really feel that the majority of CO players would rather have bots completely 100% removed and would rather play 1v2, 1v1, 2v2, etc. matches then by all means go out and get that data. Until then, we will work to find the best solution for both opinions. Which, believe it or not, is finding a way to make the bots only be a part of gameplay when they are needed (not enough players). As well as balancing the bots to be at the same skill level as you would find an average CoD player. If this were not the best common ground, you wouldn't see it in big FPS games like CS:GO, titanfall, etc. Now you can continue to restate your opinion over and over without pointing toward any evidence whatsoever other than correlation with what you believe the majority believes or you can go and grab me some data which actually proves your statements. We don't force you to play on our servers, if you don't like the logic we stand behind there are plenty of other empty servers you may join with your friends.
  23. Hi, I believe Anti has spoken for us enough. You say that pezbots ruin the player experience, but that is an opinion. Some players actually enjoy the bots as it gives them more players to "feed on. I have heard this and your opinion on multiple occasions. So what does that leave me to do but find a way to compromise? I have been working on making bots a bit more dynamic as a side project in my spare time. I plan on them behaving much like csgo bots in that they replace missing players and when a player joins they will be removed. Of course, this has yet to be achieved but it is planned for the future. To answer your second question, we do not have the mod source and therefore can not add and remove weapons as we please. If you have read on moddb, moka is a very fiesty personality and takes little care to suggestions or comments unless they are pure encouragement. With this being said, I've worked with him in the past and have a newer version of CO than the one being ran on the server. The problem is, it is very unstable. Perhaps in the future i'll run the newest version I have on the server, but for the meantime I must use the most stable version in order to prevent server crashes/downtime. And to further speak on bots, we want to promote a playable atmosphere for our players. If no one is there and a player joins a game of bots, he can play with bots and enjoy himself. If we were to completely remove bots that player would not be able to play by himself. Also, I do plan on working on adding a few more maps with pezbot support. I just have to make sure they'll work with the current version of CO running on our server.
