Why you believe it should be added:

Variation pretty much. After playing all these years on the 5 standard promod maps, I'm willing to play a couple of custom ones. Right now, the only custom map on the server is Nuketown. As much as I'd love to see Marketcenter and/or Cluster added, those threads have died out. Therefore, I decided to share mp_shantytown with everyone.

 

According to the members of the Cybergamer(CG) community, mp_shantytown is in 2nd place when it comes to their favorite custom promod maps that were released on CG.

Any known issues:

I know there are a couple of elevators, but since the map isn't that well known outside of CG, I guess it shouldn't be that big of a problem. There aren't that many glitches, to my knowledge. As far as I remember, most of the 'glitches' are blocked off by invisible walls or require 333 fps.

 

An issue could be the fact that the map is quite close quarter combat(CQC) based. Players who are new to the map could have a little trouble finding their way through the map.

I played this map on a promod server recently and it played so well, everyone knew what they had to do with their specific roles and it was a really fun match in general, besides from having 1 really overpowered elevator and a few hard to do bounces the map is relatively glitch free compared to others :D

I quite like this map.

 

It's got a very good play style, and it will be fresh, compared to the stock maps and nuketown.

 

I agree that it should be added, and I really like the bounces on this map. xD
