Just a quick topic I made so that I can fix people's mics on TS

Hi, it's me! The guy that just poked you on teamspeak.

 

The reason I poked you and put you in a group that stops you from speaking is because your microphone was completely and utterly shit. It was probably very loud or very noisy, so I global muted you to help everyone. 

 

This topic will teach you how to stop your microphone from being very loud, but I'm not sure about random loud noises from your mic (etc fuzzing) as this could be a number of things.

 

 

STEP 1. (Windows)

 

 

Go to this part of your PC and right click on the one that looks like it's for sound 

 

STEP 2.

 

 

Click the recording devices

 

STEP 3.

 

 

Find out which audio device is yours and right click it, then click properties

 

STEP 4.

 

 

Click "Levels" and adjust these settings, NEVER USE MICROPHONE BOOST UNLESS YOUR MICROPHONE IS VERY QUIET, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH AS IT MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE A CS:GO RUSSIAN

For macs: anti

1. Go to the apple in the top right and click system preferences.

 

2. Click on sound.

 

3. Choose/select the microphone your using (I don't have one plugged in so I'll use the built-in mic)

 

4. Adjust the slider so when you speak the input level is around half way (not too loud), or you can listen to yourself over teamspeak to get a better idea of what you sound like.

Thanks, I turned mine down some because im pretty sure mine was a little loud
