Is there a way to load deathrun maps?

Everytime I try to load a map on my game it seems to lag out bad and grind to a halt and crash

If you want to load a Deathrun map using the devmap command, you will have to choose a mod from your mods list first. This means that you need to have a Deathrun mod in your Call of Duty 4 mods folder that allows devmap loading. I'm pretty sure Raid's Deathrun mod doesn't work for this. You can select mods through the main menu of Call of Duty 4.

 

After you've selected your mod, you will have to change the gametype to deathrun. I believe the correct command for this would be either /g_gametype dr or /g_gametype deathrun. After this you will be able to devmap load a map by using the command /devmap nameofmap. Example: /devmap mp_deathrun_wipeout_v2.

 

If this is about loading Deathrun maps when you're connecting to a server, then everything I typed is completely useless. I'm pretty sure most people on this forum are more qualified to assist you in fixxing that problem than I am.
