Because people are morons and newbies are just going to spam hard on every map. Should be obvious, just look at any significant poll ever held *cough* EU referendum *cough* and it becomes quite clear the opinion of the masses is something you should rarely actually take into consideration (especially on the internet).

Because I was asked to make one, so I did. I never expected people to get so bitchy over something as stupid as this. Especially after I've clearly explained why all 6 current maps are rated easy and what would be classed as intermediate or hard.

The current results point towards the majority thinking they're all easy, except for beginner due to the facts I've previously mentioned oh so many times.

They're literally completely agreeing with you, except for THE ONE MAP THAT I'VE BEEN CONSTANTLY TELLING YOU HAS ISSUES.

 

Also, this poll is asking for people's opinions. No matter what they've voted, it's not wrong or unusable.

Also, how does having to bhop make a map any harder? And if you're ranking this anything above easy simply for the telehopping problem then may I remind you the CS version doesn't even allow telehopping?

When did I ever say I'm expecting people to have more than very little experience surfing already? All I said is you shouldn't vote if you have little experience. And yes, that excludes nearly everyone that has played the mod so far but that's the whole point, isn't it? To only have people with a good perception of the actual difficulty of a surf map vote.

 

Surf has a high skill ceiling and people need to learn to deal with that and improve instead of bitch about difficulty ratings. That goes for CS but also for CoD.

THE CS VERSION IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT HAVING TO BHOP ON STAGE 2/5. LISTEN TO YOUR RETARDED ARGUMENT.

Guys, please stop being immature, especially @Caspa. I get it you find some personal entertainment from provoking people but it's starting to annoy me too now.

From this topic, we can clearly see, the people who care about the surf server (the 8 users) have voted that all maps should remain easy. From here on out, we should leave everything up to the mapper to decide the difficulty unless it's a port, in which case we should just make tier 1-2 easy, 3-4 medium and above that hard.

And while personally I think beginner and other maps shouldn't be labelled easy, I do understand your point slaya- and it is your server. Just please as I've suggested in the past make a tutorial (I think you're on that already) or some HUD thing ingame where you can learn how to surf. Also, I think you're sorting this too but beginner needs a fix (telehops and maybe a few adjustments so you don't have to bhop it).
