3D Text

In maps I see decent 3D text. An example would be "Map Made By: Pet X" which is what I saw on a map. The 3D text is really smooth. Is this done in radiant or a program like maya? If anyone has some sort of download to 3D text in radiant, is there anyway they could sent it me? I'd highly appreciate this.

You need to make a HUD.

zeroy.com/script has half the things you'll need and explains them

Could also look at existing files and learn from them, on my phone at the moment so can't provide you with an example

Oh sorry, I misread.

But, yeah. He would have made a model in maya and converted it to a model that can be used in cod4. There's are loads of tutorials on how to do this online, the hardest part is installing maya. (needs to be 8.5)

They have been made as neat as I see possible (including mitre) with caulk textures.

The links aren't valid anymore. I doubt anybody has the download links/prefabs anymore because they were atleast 8 years old.

Right click, misc>prefab and then choose one of the many .MAP files included in the download.

Of course, you want to extract the downloaded files into your map_source/prefabs folder.

or ya can use maya 2009 and plugin from cod blackops mod tools :sir: I have the maya 8.5 and 2009 installers, but cant get to craptop for few weeks.

and to use maya 8.5 or 2009 ya need to get a licence :dave: search amazon or ebay or be a pirate and find a cracked version :ph34r:
