[WIP] mp_dr_treetops

The idea behind the map:

The activator has an arsenal of traps to choose from in a trap menu, his goal is to kill all jumpers with either his knife or his traps. He is given a set amount of time to get 1 kill, if he succeeds he will get extra time for a next kill and so on. But, if he does not get a kill in time everyone will be teleported to an arena where the jumpers will most likely kill the activator. :dumb: As a jumper your single goal is to evade the activator and his traps in this closed circuit map with multiple paths to choose from.

 
Trap ideas: (More to be added.)

  • BO2 Swarm
  • C4 trapped platforms
  • Falling tree
  • Chopper
  • Adrenaline mode (higher speed and jump height)
  • Arrows shooting out of trees
  • Nova gas barrels around the map
  • Timed Wallhack (Print3D)
  • 1x teleport to a location of choice
  • 1 nuke bullet

Thank you Infinity Ward for blocking these developer functions on dedicated servers thus making them useless :happycry:

I'd ban you straight away you dumbo if there really was hardcoded WH in a map,

  1. because you are so dumb
  2. because its a wallhack
  3. because anybody could copy its code and make priv. hacks

People never think about consequences of their actions :facepalm:

Edit: Actually, I could still do it with Hud Elements. :dumb:

1. You're calling me dumb for a trap idea, yet you can't form grammatically correct sentences?

2. A TRAP.

3. People who can script client hooks would've scripted it themselves. :dumb:

 

Telling me you'll ban me for a trap idea is flatout stupid and calling me dumb and dumbo makes you seem like a 12 y/o. Learn to respect people who make maps for your mod. I'm not gonna start another argument with you, if you can't live with me making a never before seen trap for a new type of map, then leave this thread. Leave me alone, I will do with my map what I want, making a WH trap is not against any rules, it's a map element, not a hack. But oh well, I guess you don't want activators to enjoy the traps they use and just give free?

Right lets advertise wall hack as a trap, what's next? why won't you just put an aimbot hack and call it a trap? here's another trap idea: teleport and link every opponent to a frag grenade which you've thrown. Because getting banned by PB is too damn mainstream and we need more *traps* of this kind.

You ask people to think of original and new traps because it seems to you every map has the same traps,

He thinks of something new and you threaten to ban him?

Not guaranteed, you still have to get to the jumper and knife him without him escaping. ;)

Here's my latest trap which is indeed more OP than tactical nuke in MW2

do tell me what makes wallhack a trap? :dumb:

 

my suggestion is that every1 spawns with a black full screen hud element and the activator has a button to remove it. when the activator removes the hud element, all the players die as now they can see those awful stretched textures in the 100x scaled tree models. :dumb:

Braxi, we all both know that server owners like RS already have built in cheats on their servers, so what's wrong with a mapper doing it? anyway i think we shouldn't jump to stuff until the trap is done.

Maybe something like a wall scanner, like blacklight retribution it pulses somethnig so you can see through the wall for a second or 2

Can't you set an other vision for the jumpers. Like a dark vision for the jumpers when the trap is activated. Or tp all jumpers to the ground for 10 sec and give the acti a sniper.

if you are mapping for a mod, your map should play the gametype of the mod. :dave:

 

why make a map for deathrun if it is not intended to play the gametype as described in the MOD description? :angryarnold:

BraXi, you may as well stop. This is Slaya's map and he can do what he wants. It's nothing you can change..

If he wants to do something original that hasn't been done before, he should be allowed to do it. You have the choice whether or not to play it.

That's as ignorant as people in the server saying Twitch is not a deathrun map.
