well if you're up for it get hlae and edit some pro demos.
You can edit basically any of the G2 games from the recent major and make a sick frag video. And with hlae you can make cinematics straight out of the demo with mirv_campath.
There's loads of tutorials on youtube about it

and trust me, with awp clips its so easy to transition between shots
just wait till they're scoped max pinch pan out, then no pinch pan to normal scope. Or punch a little and pan in a bit then go back to normal

There's more to being a Community Manager than server management, hence the distinction. I stopped working on the servers because they were already being managed. And my plan toward the end was to have SM's do the leg work of management (small stuff), while CMs would work on bigger projects. It's always been this way, but there are still things here and there the CMs had to (and probably still have to) do that should really have been passed on to SMs. CMs also discuss how the community will develop, which games will be hosted in the future, how the community will allocate donations, etc. Sure every now and then a server admin will post a poll on the forums, but generally the CMs have the final say on what Raid does. And, being a CM, if you are not working on your project, you are communicating these changes to the community. Do not take my decline in server work as a decline in working on Raid. I had plans for raid, but ultimately I began to move on (and did move on) when lossy and thomas began talking to me about closing. On another note, I'm happy troll and mikey have carried raid on their shoulders and am proud of what they've done. I look forward to where they go with it. I think you would play the role of CM much better than you would SM with a few lessons in server hosting. And that you could help troll and mikey make a lot of key decisions regarding the community and it's members.

This should be your most important point - "I've decided to give up hosting a server completely and would only like to focus on Raid itself." It's probably one of the few things in this app that stands out from your last. Not that I remember it all that well. Also I wouldn't worry about "leaving raid in a time of need." You being there really wouldn't have changed anything. Closing had nothing to do with the admins and everything to do with the former CMs. The only reason raid didn't close is because everyone (especially troll) didn't want to see it end and did everything they could to keep it alive. In fact, if we didn't hand the "keys" over to troll, i'm sure someone would have started hosting raid servers on another dedi anyway...

you'd definitely be more suited for the CM role rather than SM imo. But if you're willing to learn and they're willing to teach I wish you the best of luck edit: And if you think a CM needs to do everything a SM does remember I was once a CM and for almost a year I barely touched the servers

long ago (like 2011) when I was an admin on an SnD server there was a rule for something along the lines of playing the objective. This rule basically covered shit like this where idiots would sit in a spot going for kills rather than playing to win the round. Obviously if this rule were to be added, admin discretion would be necessary but I could see figuring something out.

Won our match today making us 8-4 thus far. Last season we ended up 7-9 so this REALLY feels good. Hope we can keep it up :D
