There are ways server managers+ can fix this

I'm not saying you force them to pick other maps, just give them a reason to pick the other maps.

That's what I'm suggesting, a system to make it so the overplayed maps are still available to picked but provide insentive to the players to try and make them pick less played maps.

Could we not just create a new map rotation algorithm to make it impossible to play the same maps over and over?

I felt like creating this thread because recently I've had a large number of people asking me for help on mapping, since this has become part of my role/routine I thought I may as well make the most of it and make everything public so more than 1 person can learn from it. Granted im not the best mapper around but I feel as though I can comfortably do most advanced things and not meaning to be cocky but I'm fairly good with GSC. So, if you need help with something please ask here and I'll make a tutorial for everyone to see. The requests can be as specific as you want, eg. "I need this certain trap to do this certain thing". I'll do my best. Please no one post anything silly like "how do I script for cod4" or "how to make a map". I also ask not to ask for modelling/rigging tutorials since I'm not fully comfortable with the tools yet. Will aim to keep a turn around of no more than a few days for each tutorial! Thanks for reading this, I hope I can help as many of you as possible!

I did a couple about a year ago, let me see if I still have the files. (Will probably get back to you tomorrow since I have no access to my PC atm)

Delete the current decal, select the brush and press space and make it a terrain patch. (If needed align it with the other brush)

Not sure, I know I'm not the only one who got this problem. There are few people who said the same thing happen to them, looked to be different laptops though.

If by me doing something you mean clicking the update button and restarting my computer then sure. Something went wrong with the bios as a result of win10 being installed, you can hardly say that's my fault.

Well, you know. Other than corrupting my bios and making me replace the entire motherboard, not too bad. I'm just thankful it didn't effect my hard drive.

It kinda annoys me how little work people put into maps nowadays and how low the standards are. If you're gonna make a map, do it right.
