  1. Anyone think it's worth spending £20 on BO3 only for mod tools? Will modding/mapping have a big enough community to warrant the buy?

After the abomination that JWofles made in it, it's best to stay clear of those unholy tools

  2. Hello everyone, I've spent the last few days creating this little program, enjoy :) Video: Screenshots: I am looking for Beta testers if anyone's interested. Also not sure if this is a good section to post this in? Couldn't see anywhere else that would be better :dave:
  3. Pls, I don't want to lose my 782!
  4. Nice to meet you mate
  5. Honestly I think this is a good idea. We've all been watching the community become less and less active over the last year, it will be nice to see a change. Looking forward to the new deathrun mod! Any ideas as to when it will be implemented? I would not like to officially get involved in the running on the community but I have some free time for the moment, I'm sure some of you know I have experience in Call of Duty 4 modding and managing communities so if there is anything I can do to ease the work load I'm more than willing. (Nothing too long term! I unfortunately am not able to make that kind of commitment) Best of luck with the merge, I look forward to meeting all the new people from Precision Gaming!
  6. Anyone able to help me with Atom; trying to install the Linter package with Windows but it isn't showing up in the packages section when I search for it. Any smart ideas?

Well. Seeing as its not working. Quite a lot. Also its GSC. Code how you like. I am the only Linter you will ever need.

  7. Just an update, I haven't been able to find the source files. I have one more place to look but I won't be able to access it until I go home in December, I'll do another update here if it pops up. Sorry guys.
  8. Very nice, I'm sure people will put it to good use! Great work
  9. deathrun

Glad you've managed to finish it, looks very nice. If anyone records a video of this map post it here please, would like to see how it plays!
  10. I'll have to search through my old hard drive to see if I still have it
  11. I'm probably an idiot, read below.

  14. Try telling me that :dave:
  15. Temporarily create a hud on top of the menu and just copy the text to be displayed there perhaps
  16. If the bugs you mentioned where patched and the juggernaut was removed/nerfed would you be interested in giving this map another go or would you still want it removed?
  17. Not entirely sure but I believe this can be fixed by simply using a player clip as opposed to an "all" clip which involves projectiles. Will look into fixing it for you.
  18. As others have said, it's about maturity. Not age.
  19. I think the best piece of code I've written is the Claw/Crane trap in Oxidation. (It can pick up players and drop them at any given time) https://youtu.be/p_W6jzgcjko?t=3m27s I believe I have written better code but not for cod4, and I don't wish to share it as I'm using it for commercial use :dave:
  20. It's an event, so in the case entity waittill("trigger", other) when the entity is triggered it will then continue with the code, it's kind of like pausing the script until something happens. This may help?? http://codscript.net/topic/434-triggers/?hl=waittill
  21. Which role are you applying for? Server Manager Do you accept the requirements? Yes How long have you been in your previous role? 1 year 5 months (17 months) Why do you think you are ready for a promotion to the said role? I'm ashamed to admit that recently I have been a pretty poor admin, I get that. I hate to throw excuses around but I have had a pretty tough year. My father had been fighting i love yousince the start of 2014. Unfortunately he passed away not too long ago, this was truly devastating. I cut myself off from everyone (including Raid) for months. I've decided to make the conscious decision to get my shit together and get back to doing what I love! The reason I'm applying for Server Manager is because I feel as though I have exhausted my Server Admin role, I'm no longer interested in playing Call of Duty (or any game for that matter). However, this does not mean I want to leave Raid. Given the chance; I could help with the Server side of Raid as opposed to the Moderating side. I may have lost my passion for playing the game but I have not lost it for the game itself. From time to time I do like to simply sit in the servers watching over people, making sure everyone is following the rules. Doing this is a waste of the potential and time I have, I could be using this time to be helping at a higher level instead of simply observing. What skills do you have? Programming: Advanced GSC Advanced Python Advanced C# Mid Range SQLite (Actually coding databases, not managing) Low level Java Other:Advanced CoD4 Mapping Advanced Computer Science (A Level) Advanced Mathematics (A Level) Advanced Mechanics Mid Range CoD4 Modding Mid Range Autodesk Maya Mid Range Electrical Engineering What skills do you have that will aid your application for the role? From above; I believe that although half of the things I have listed are not exclusively helpful for the Server Manager role, almost everything helps in one way or another. An example of this is there is no need for me to know advanced C#, however C# is extremely helpful for learning logical methods (along with most programming) which comes in handy on a day to day basis. Also, many things have similarities to things that may be carried out in a Server Manager role. There is a Python lib called Tkinter which allows you to create a GUI for your program, tkinter works in a fairly similar way to how CoD4 menus work. I guess what I'm trying to get at here is that I may not know everything I need to know in order to carry out the role of a Server Manager but I certainly have the building blocks, knowledge, intelligence and most of all motivation to learn. As I'm sure you can tell from above, the skills which are exclusively helpful for being a Server Manager are; GSC, (Python), CoD4 Mapping/Modding, Mathematics, (Maya) and Computer Science. What other communities/clans are you an admin in at the moment (if any?) Only Raid Why should we choose you over others? So far I have not seen any other applications for this role so it is difficult to compare, although having said that; I'd like to think I am one of the most well suited people to become a Server Manager in this community due to my skills around the general Computer Science subject. I have been taught advanced problem solving which is always a useful tool to have at my disposal and I am a very committed person that does not give up easily. Is there anything else you think could help with your application or that you would like to add? Due to my inactivity lately I am fully expecting this application to not be taken very well, that is understandable. I would fully appreciate the chance to prove myself show you all what I can do. Previous Application EDIT: Typo
  22. Yay! Thank you very much, I'll give it my best shot!
  23. Looking forward to thissss!
  24. It looks okay, I would say maybe focus on the lighting to build up the atmosphere a bit more and try to take advantage of alpha blending and decals a tad more. Don't take this the wrong way, I like it and am trying to help you make it even better.
