Build me a PC!

13 posts in this topic

Hey nubs n scrubs, been saving a lot of money for real life shit etc but had a little left over and decided wanted to upgrade my current, shitty pc, NOW - I know the basics off computers etc but when it comes to building a relatively cheap, good gaming PC i'm at a loss, and I thought you guys could help me out :)

So the only information I can really give to you guys is;

Purpose: Gaming and editing

Budget: £400-500 (perhaps 600)

Want good graphics but better FPS.

EXCLUDING KEYBOARD / MOUSE  / MONITOR.

Any guides / builds you guys suggest would be appreciated, because I honestly have no idea what to do or where to start.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxk6pwCiJRc <----- 500 dollars

Literally in the first 15 seconds of the video it says EXACTLY what you just said.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3bMV_RZ3dE <-- thats 600 dollars

These are very good specs BUT they dont come with a OS or a wifi card. Now, if youre close to the router and have a ethernet cable youre fine. But if you dont, then you need a pcie wifi card or a usb wifi but usb sucks.

Post this on reddit.com/r/buildapc and follow the instructions and lots of people will help you

And if you want to crack windows, whatever up to you so no one go apeshit on me about the OS

Assuming you have an ATX size case...

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/P4jG4D (£538.22)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seasonic-S12II-520-ATX12V-Standard-Supply/dp/B00390P1NO (£48.83)

TOTAL: £587.05

If the price is too much, you could drop the HDD (if you already have one) and the WiFi card (if you already have one or dont need WiFi)

Need Windows?

May or may not be genuine, last year bought 2 of these (Pro, though) for $5 each, one was genuine other wasn't, however, both activated fine and successfully upgraded to Windows 10 Pro
