I'd rather get a better PSU and/or a R9 270X.

If you're not planning to OC the CPU the motherboard is great, but if you are going to, get a better motherboard & cooler.

I would get more wattage in a psu just to be safe and be ready for future changes. Also a gtx 760 if you have the money you should get. Better than the r9 270

Corsair is a good brand. Look for like a 600 watt.

600w is such an overkill. I use 520w with a i5-4570 and GTX770 and I never got higher then 400-450 watt I guess. ;)

Edit: What's your max budget? Can you go over 600 a bit or not?

Yea I can since my dad is paying for it but I have to pay him back over this summer but if its way too much i can switch back to a r9 270 which is cheaper and is slightly the same as the X

Okay. Do you have any parts you already have? (HDD, Optical drive, keyboard, mouse, monitor?)

And if I was you, I wouldn't plan to OC. You'll need more wattage, better motherboard and an aftermarket cooler. (For a good OC)

Yeah... why would one even buy a 290x, a 280x etc... the ones without x are pretty much the same, there's only like 2 - 4 fps difference in games like battelfield, the only thing that's difference is that the ones with an X cost much more.

siik, quit sucking nVidia's dick. I agree, they're better cards, but do you have any actual evidence to back it up?

It's the one I have. Sure, wattage is overkill, but its better to have too much than not enough. 

 

Also, for the GPU, I much prefer Intel/nVidia builds, but AMD/AMD builds are usually cheaper. '

 

 

Also, your audio on your motherboard is limited to 2.0/2.1, so if you have external speakers they're going to be severely cut short. But, good news for you, sound cards are fairly cheap, so no need to worry. Build is decent, but for only $560 there's really not much more room there. Seems good to me.

 

Either your current one or Headdy's will both work, Headdy's just has a tad stronger of a GPU. Also, for windows, you can either drop the extra $100 or just torrent it, it's up to you.

i recomend a modular 750 wat power supply :dave: it is easier to take out wires you don't need to make it look neater

so I see lots of people here recommending bigger psu's, why? If you don't need such an amount of wattage, it only costs more on your energy bill at the end of the month.
