I've added pretty much everything apart from the rain, I can't get it to play correctly and I really just don't have time to play around with it. It's either got to be no rain at all, or rain with no sfx. Ya'll can decide.

keep the rain it looks smexy ;3

Ambientplay your own rain mp3. It's really not hard to google for rain sounds

Explosion sound - mrk_rockexplosion_layer1 (default sound)

 

 

Use the rain sound from mp_deathrun_destoryedv3 :)

Ambientplay your own rain mp3. It's really not hard to google for rain sounds

I've got a rain sound that works really well but I can't seem to stop it from playing throughout the whole map (it's only raining at the spawn) sound silly having the rain sound inside. And thanks Lossy but I have a couple of custom sounds for that :)

You can usually hear the rain from inside a building, especially a building with windows and doors ;)

make sure you're using that playlocal function instead of ambient.

I created a script_origin and then did - 

origin PlaySound( "rain" );

Zeroy says PlayLocalSound can only be called on a player? I guess it doesn't really matter now

Ah yeah, playsound is the correct one

Just released you can't loop a sound if it has been given a radius so it's not possible anyway

Here's an update, quite a few things fixed/included. [use initial dl link]

 

[+] landscape at spawn

[+] new door opening system, missile

[+] custom sfx everywheerree!

[+] few more fx around the map

[+] another little secret

 

[-] bushes trolls

[-] c4 opening

looks sweet but you just alpha blend on the floor a bit more, it's a great way of adding detail.

Sentrex try putting a bunch of origins around the whole of outside then give them all the same targetname then in gsc

getentArray("originforrain", "targetname");

then do

while(1){
<definition of the array of origins> playsound("soundalias");
wait the duration of the sound;
}

I did that with one origin and it still plays the sound throughout the whole map. Don't waste your time, I'm done with this map

Seeing as you feel you're finished updating it, I've uploaded it to the dedi. I downloaded off the link in the main post if this is not the most up to date version please let me know.

 

Thanks for the map and you'll see it on our server soonish :)

If you haven't uploaded it already, don't. For some reason the sounds aren't working

check your iwd and the sound alias names and your zone file, if it says in the console couldn't load sound alias "soundalias name" or couldnt find sound alias "soundalias name" it probably isnt included in your zone file.

Nah I figured it out, I had two ambient sounds playing and they were overlapping. As for the missile sound, it wasn't in the iwd
