restart map is a stupid addition (no use), should be replaced with extend time. add a vote cooldown (can't vote for 5 mins after). does next map cause a vote for if it should switch or is it just when enough people like next map?

I'm downvoting you because you're completely derailing the thread and whining about cod4 being dead which you do every fucking post. And please don't tell me to grow up when you've countlessly downvoted people who are trying to make the game more fun or have a different opinion to you.

Guys, please stop being immature, especially @Caspa. I get it you find some personal entertainment from provoking people but it's starting to annoy me too now. From this topic, we can clearly see, the people who care about the surf server (the 8 users) have voted that all maps should remain easy. From here on out, we should leave everything up to the mapper to decide the difficulty unless it's a port, in which case we should just make tier 1-2 easy, 3-4 medium and above that hard. And while personally I think beginner and other maps shouldn't be labelled easy, I do understand your point slaya- and it is your server. Just please as I've suggested in the past make a tutorial (I think you're on that already) or some HUD thing ingame where you can learn how to surf. Also, I think you're sorting this too but beginner needs a fix (telehops and maybe a few adjustments so you don't have to bhop it).

I do appreciate you making mouse 1 stab but would it be possible to switch that anim to mouse 2 and have mouse 1 do the normal melee instead (the slash anim). This way, it would be more true to the original game/CSS/CSGO/CS and when I wanna slice the air while i'm surfing using mouse 1 my screen doesn't have an earthquake- speaking of that, can you turn the way the anim shakes the screen off?

Firstly, @MiKeY, make some more (and more frequent) b3 messages that talk about the VIP benefits of the surf server like double XP, trails etc. Also make messages about how to change the map and where to change your FOV/turn fullbright on (in option menu-->game options). Or, make a help/commands section of the menu where you can learn about that shit and maybe a tutorial on how to surf. Also, make 3 new commands- !worldrecord (prints the world record for the map) !top10 (prints the top ten unique records for the map) !mapvote (does the same as !rtv, basically a synonym or whatever) Then, I think you should add XP events. Since XP is really scarce, you could have double XP on a weekend or triple XP when you have more than 10 players (like deathrun). Also, you could give VIPs triple XP because gaining XP is painstakingly slow. These events could be part of the HUD (like deathrun) or you could make a B3 message that says "on a weekend, enjoy the triple XP" or something.

I think you should add a hud thing or a sound so you know when you rank up and also please correctly label the map's difficulty. also, beginner and cyber should be labelled hard.

hmm, I wasn't hearing it unless I turned off some of my sound. I got WRs and ranked up and it was quiet- at least it seemed to be. I forgot I put that there, I meant that as change beginner+cyber and shit Slaya, don't underestimate how bad some people are at surf.

I said this earlier on another post but I wanted to move it here so it's in the right area. add the mw2 suit/smart hands to viewmodel unlocks, I believe they're in stefan's mod so just ask him. add on the menu fov changer and random dvars you can change (fullbright, film tweaks, hud off etc). for vip, you could add a hat or sunglasses accessory, a chicken pet, scrolling camos, a dynamic light fx being emitted on the player so they glow, nicer trails, more XP gain (because it's slow as fuck so would be nice for VIPs), custom pistols i.e add whatever pistols that you can't unlock already, add a chicken pet like deathrun. ALSO, advertise VIP wayy more, through b3 and stuff. make people wanna donate. can u add something where mappers can make a zone you can't bhop so if i wanted to make a map you can't prespeed or something. script_noteworthy nohop would be cool add !top10 for the top ten records on a map mouse1 knife plox is the map vote staying the same? a vote with pictures would be cool but the current vote is fine, nonetheless, it would be cool if the maps had difficulty ratings like '(HARD)' before the name. when someone rtvs, it says "this person rocks the vote", you should add a bit more text to say "type !rtv if you want to vote too!" because people were asking how to vote and shit. i dunno how you'd do this but add a menu that has a brief tutorial on surfing for new players. a little thing where it says people's names if they spectate you. that's all i have for today. strikethroughs are things added/dealt with

@atrX, you should make it so the server warns people before changing the map after 45 minutes, and maybe, if players are online, they could vote to add more time or go to map vote? p.s can you make it so you can bhop w/ S or W? Or is that impossible. And are you gonna fix the thing where you can press A or D regardless of which side of the surf you're on?

This is amazing, reminds me a lot of omnific! Can't wait for it to be on the server.

You could make the scoreboard show FPS (like raid cj), times they've completed map in that session and maybe their best time on the map (dunno how hard that'd be). These'd be nice since the scoreboard atm is useless. this has been done

a donate page listing all features in a nice way would be good. for any avg. player, it can be hard to find what you get from donating. also can you make it so you can donate w/o signing up to the forums?

Slaya is making a surf mod and we're looking to port css/csgo maps, what maps do you think would be good in cod4?

When you end a map, you should have some FX like fireworks or something.
