  1. Be aware that the part list I linked was not something I made, it was something from a friend I trusted. I just wanted more opinions. I will be keeping the GeForce 770 because by reading Headdy's topic, there  really is no need for someone like me to get a 980.

As for the PSU, I'm sure the one listed is fine Bear :)

Been looking at the processor, that seems fine, good reviews, and people I know have / are getting that one too (I didn't copy, it was a coincidence)

Quote this with thoughts, opinions and better ideas which will not make the price sky high; after all, I do want my car yanno!  but pc too

    Thanks all!

  2. It just goes to show how gullible people can be. They judging a how community from a word of someone who hates raid; someone who wants raid hated. He will do anything to achieve this, but it's good that people are finally identifying the lies and confronting eachother and finding out the truth.

I'd say Raid is the strongest community. The leaders are good at what they do, know how to run things, fix things etc. We've all seen the punishments. If Lossy was to send these tools to someone, he would probably be punished. I don't think any community manager would start heat with  another team on purpose. Of course there is going to be heat between teams, that's normal, but blaming and judging on a hater's thoughts is just awful judgement in the first place.

    Raid are good!!

  3. Well how much are you willing to spend?

Tight budget of £600 - £700. Was going to get and XB1  but decided to make a deal with my mum to put thr £350 to the PC and I put the rest to, so I am selling my PC for £250 and possibly chipping in £100 of my savings. I could happily spend over £1,000 but I need some money for car insurance and other stuff

  4. I'd post my own suggestions, but what Beat suggested is perfect actually. However, I do recommend changing the motherboard and upgrading the CPU to a okay version for overclocking. And for an extra 24 GBP you can grab an aftermarket cooler, which I'd recommend. Here's my suggestion after making a few changes to beatthat's suggestion.

Also, another tip, 1000 USD is more like 850 GBP, so it's sorta misleading how much you're willing to spend...

Another note, I never posted a build until now. D: Maybe you saw the purple and a computer post and thought it might be me?

Yeah I didn't read the name, just saw purple hahaha, my bad.

And I must have miscalculated the dollars; my bad.

As beatthat's build is $1000 (sorry for my miscalculations), I am going to have to go with my build with a few changes perhaps (like you suggested)

This will be my first time building a PC from scratch, so it should be interesting.

  5. My advice is that whatever PC you build, definitely save some bucks for a descent SSD on which you install your OS (and just the demanding software/games) to have a good performance boost on them. Your PC will perform better overall and things will open much quicker!

P.S. Cat's build is very a nice one, and do use PC Part Picker because it will make the whole decision process a lot easier :)

I have been messing around with that part picker, and someone came up with this build:

    This build seems good.

What's different about Cat's build which will give me an advantage? The speed and stuff?

  6. Most 'traditional music?' from the UK is drum and bass, jungle, old school grime, and later on Dubstep, with a very early dubstep song being this

With you saying that maybe the one i posted is traditional then because it was popular ages a go

  7. So we've had memes, GIFs, vines, movies etc.. but I see no funny video thread, so I thought I'd create one! Share some funny videos which make you laugh :)

I will go ahead and post this one (It's kind of horrible, but I laughed so hard)

  8. Congratulations on everyone's new positions! :D

Although I didn't know Tilak, nor did I know Bumba, I heard nothing but positive, respectful comments about you guys. Staab told me on Teamspeak and he was really gutted that you're both leaving. (So were others) As I have never spoken to you guys, I couldn't show the same emotions of you leaving the community, but because you're both respected in this community by a lot of people, I have no regrets saying goodbye to you both.

I hope you do well in whatever it is you want to go onto achieve, and i hope to see you back here one day so I can get to know you guys :) Good luck :)

As for the rest of you, well deserved, especially NNJ, no surprise there, good job man! The new admins (both full and trial) are amazing people, so can't wait to see how they get on :)

Finally sentence, goodbye Tilak and Bumba, congratulations to the rest!

  9. I am also trying to learn more advanced scripting; I only know the basics.

But I don't think you should rush straight into making a VIP menu. Perhaps script other smalls things to get yourself familiar with what function does what in scripts, ask for some smaller challenges to build your scripting skills up, then perhaps move onto creating menus.

That's just my opinion / advice, other people will have different advice.

If you're unsure how to do something, you can have a look around these websites for extra help:

Perhaps look at other people's scripts (get their permission of course) and try and change them a little to see what each thing does, so you can use those functions in your own script. Make sure you ask for permission though. I doubt they'd say no, but it's just polite doing so. Script stealing is frowned upon and can damage your overall reputation on what people think about you.

I hope this helped and good luck with scripting!
