MW2 - "we'll probably release mod tools at a later time"

MW3 - "we will evaluate this at some point"

GHOSTS - "probably not"

AW -  "we cannot release tools due to the proprietary technology it contains"

 

There's not much left of the "IW" we knew in 2007, even Respawn (ex IW employers and founders) shown us a middle finger with Titanfall, and it used Source engine so there was no real excuse of not releasing tools other than milking customers with DLCs.

because after mw2, treyarch didnt release modtools. Now with treyarch releasing modtools, IW *might* consider it.

I think IW realize the hate with futuristic CoDs. It may have been too late for them to change the theme of the game because back then (2-3 years ago?) They started the concept of Infinite Warfare where there really wasn't the hate like there is today. With the addition of the remasters, releasing mod tools seems like a possibility.

Uhhh that trailer makes the new game look cool as fuck. The single player alone looks completely brand new/exciting. Flying fuckin spaceships around and shit hell yeah.

Im gonna take the nostalgia glasses off and have no expectations, but im definitely buying a cod that takes me to new planets and lets me fly spaceships without any modding involved.

COD4 didn't need to be remastered YET. Maybe in 3-4 more years.

COD1 would need a good remastered version.... that would be 10 times more interesting than cod4 remastered at this point.

They should do that in 2013 since COD was 10 years old. :P If i was a dev that's what i would do :P

It's coming up to cod4's tenth anniversary and cod4 was a lot more popular than cod1.
