    A GTX 650 with 2GB of VRAM couldn't run CoD4 at 125 FPS? Imapnk you're out of your mind. I don't think you ever plugged it into your motherboard correctly. :dumb:

     

    Anyways, on topic, the map looks great, I hope you actually release this one. :troll:

     

    Also, I remember the old map you were working on when you/Darmuh/Lossy/Xenon all entered a mapping competition together, and it had a trap where you fell down, and barrels from both sides came together and would attack the jumper(s), and you had to shoot the barrels to make them explode before they killed you. That looked really cool, is it possible for you to implement that into this map, if it isn't already?  I'm looking forward to the release, good luck to you and the completion!

    Battlefield and deathrun are completely different so that's just dumb to compare

     

    Not everyone can afford good graphic cards, and people still get lag on lower setting

     

    You do not pay for deathrun maps and people making them dont get payed, he should take what people give and not complain.

     

    I played deathrun for about a year on a crappy laptop (and currently am till my new pc works) and detailed maps did not run well + not saying this map will be a lag fest but if every map had this level of detail lots of them would be pretty laggy for people with bad PC's

    I personally don't see the point, this map is over in like 15 seconds so you don't get time to take in the detail and will just cause bad fps.

     

    But this is the best gangbang map at the end.

     

    Lets use Battlefield 3 and 4 for this example for your first sentence.

     

    Would you buy a game (BF3 and 4) that is bad detailed and few brushes here and there and rush a little bit and voila the game is done and buy the game now for 60 dollars. You play the game and after few maps playing the same you GOT BORED.

     

    If you get a bad FPS then buy a new videocard or put your settings lower or quit the game playing because ur PC can't get a normal fps for that game.

     

    So what I try to say with Battlefield 3 and 4, is that these 2 games are very very good looking in single player and multiplayer and everyone loves that, if it was not good looking like some rushed maps on deathrun then no one would buy it to play it for a longer time or just not to play.

    Then can grab ATI Radeon 4xxxx or 5xxx gpu for less than 30$ and a core2duo E4xxx CPU for 5$ and run CoD4 with all settings maxed out and play with decent fps or just skip playing my map :dave:

     

    Just for people to know, these dvars will be ULTIMATELY forced on Raid server @ chamber1 map:

    • r_detail 1
    • sm_enable 1
    • r_zfeather 1
    • r_dlightlimit 4

    Edit: tweaked existing traps and added 2 completly new and unique traps, one of these new traps is all about the trust to your team mates, 0 bounces or strafes :dave:

     

     

    Please insert the (zombie survival shooting) from ur old WIP map into that one please :> OR FINISH THAT WONDERFULL MAP >: ( :fff:

    I have a good friend who is willing to build me a decent gaming PC, my only concern was that it was going to cost a hell of a lot more and it might not be worth it.

     

    My friends are, not so conveniantly, on xbox and PC so that's not my issue at the moment. As I said, all I'm worried about is the cost in the long term, even if I'm getting less value for money when buying a console. Another reason for me considering transitioning to console was because I, believe it or not, have never played on one before and my friends tell me it's more fun than PC. Although that is an opinion.

     

     

    Well the best tip is:

     

    Go try PC and Console at the sime time. Play the 1-2-3 same games on PC and on console and see whats better then.

    Well I would say PC, because it can do much more then the consoles, however the consoles could be a bit cheaper. If you were to build a gaming PC, you could get one for about 600-700 dollars. Consoles usually range around 500-600 dollars, so it's not much of a big difference there.

     

    Building your PC will be cheaper overall and it can do a lot more.

     

    I know there are some games that are console only releases, but they aren't worth it in my honest opinion.

     

    I'd say go with a custom built PC, it will save you money from buying a normal gaming PC such as alienware etc. Aswell as it can do much more, and play many games.

    Overall, buying a console would be cheaper, but in the long run building your own gaming PC would be the best choice.

    1. You pay for the console Xbox one price: $499/  PS4 Price: $400

     

    2. Where are the games? 40 euro minimum for a good game/  new games and then paying for each single game for that

     

    3. Paying for a dumb network for them (Xbox live and Playstation Live)

     

    4. You want a extra controller costs about 50-60 dollars aswell

     

    5. Less better graphics then on PC

     

    So if I would calculate it you will get this price with 4 games what is not alot: 695 euro random (for couple of games with console and extra controller and PSN Network card). And then in the future you are still paying for the games again 40-50-60 euro and calculate that up and you will get up to 800+ euro.

     

    And for PC you build once a custom gaming PC and you can play free games or buy 1 game what is really enjoy able or crack the games on the PC whats on a console not that easy or impossible to crack.

     

     

    But if you want "gaming only" then I would go for the PS4 since PS4 is made for gaming only, but my self I would go for the PC gaming because it has better graphics, less internet connection problems and its funnier then on a console to play etc etc.
